It appears that earlier rumors regarding a major bug with the Catalyst
14.2 driver are true after all and although it was earlier scheduled to
appears alongside the EA/DICE Battlefield 4 Mantle patch, it appears
that AMD will have to delay it a bit.
According to AMD, the
driver team is working overnight to fix the driver and should have more
information by mid-afternoon EST (New York time), or later today if you
are living somewhere in Europe.
The delay also does not mean
that we will not see the driver at all as AMD might only be forced to
release it as the Catalyst 14.2 Beta driver in order to have at least
something and make the EA/DICE patch usable.
AMD also noted that
select members of the press will have the driver in their hands at
least a day before the official launch so we expect at least a couple of
Battlefield 4 Mantle reviews as soon as AMD gives the green-light
